New Seasons, Same God

"New Seasons, Same God", really has been something heavy on my heart lately. I am a high school senior, so close to graduating, and I'm headed off to Liberty University in the fall! Currently, I'm in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida, so Virginia is going to be quite a change, but an exciting new season.

If you've ever moved houses, schools, or churches, you've definitely experienced a seasonal change, even if the leaves are still the color they were five months ago. New seasons can be so exciting, but sometimes they can be really hard. Maybe this season you're walking through is nothing like you were expecting it to be.

This past year, I walked through a season in my life where I really struggled with my mental health. A new season began when I lost my grandpa, and it was devastating. When I think of the word "new", I think of a flower blooming in the springtime, or walking on stage to get my diploma, or trying a new drink at Starbucks. "New" never really meant sadness to me before.

But it's funny how in that broken moment, I felt strong. It was different this time. I had really been able to dive deep into my relationship with God the months before, and my faith had grown a ton. It grew so much, that I was able to see the goodness of the Lord in something so heart breaking.

When you truly invest your time and effort into a relationship with the Lord, you'll be able to see how strong you are when the waves get rough.

As I step into this new, exciting season of my life, I know it won't be easy. I know people will try and change what I believe. I know that the world is going to throw things at me that will shake me, but won't break me. And as you step into all that God has for you, remember this:

The same God that created the heavens and the earth, is on your side.

The same God that rose the dead to life, is on your side.

The same God who sent His son to die for the sins of a broken world, is on your side.

The same God who knitted you in your mother's womb, is on your side.

The same God who performs miracles, is on your side

New seasons are ahead. Walk with confidence, because this same God is on your side.
